At Wembley Primary School our major emphasis is to ensure our focus at all times is on improving student learning.  To ensure this focus, Wembley Primary prides itself as a Professional Learning Community (PLC).  A PLC is a community where educators are committed to working collaboratively in an ongoing processes of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve. PLC’s operate under the assumption that the key to improved learning for students is continuous, job-embedded learning for educators.

There is a solid sense of purpose and vision for learning with happy and engaged children, focused and determined leadership and a highly professional and talented staff, with teaching practices across the school developed purposefully with the implementation of research-based instructional strategies that have high impact on student learning.  Professional learning is an integral part of the operation of the school, and professional learning teams are the focal point for planning and development of the teaching and learning and the improvement of teacher practice.
