Enrolment & Transition

Prep Enrolment Procedures
Currently, Wembley Primary School has a student population of 700 and we have a capacity to accommodate 700 students. As a result, School Council has approved the implementation of an enrolment strategy.

The enrolment strategy reflects the Priority Order of Placement clause in the Department of Education and Training’s Enrolment Policy:

Where there are insufficient places at a school for all students who seek entry, students are enrolled in the following priority order:

  • Students for whom the school is the designated neighbourhood school.
  • Students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time.
  • Students who reside outside of the school zone.
  • In exceptional circumstances, compassionate grounds.
